Activity Day Fun!
We had a fantastic Activity Day on Saturday, Dec. 6th! The children were dressed in either a pioneer vest or bonnet and learned a few things about pioneer children and their Christmas celebrations and traditions. The children played pioneer games:
And, their was a surprise visit from Santa Claus!

The children also made pomanders (oranges with cloves) which pioneers did often during Christmas time.
They decorated cookies, which they enjoyed eating as much as they did decorating them!

And, the children made beaded Christmas star ornaments to help remind them to follow Christ's light, like the wisemen followed the Christmas star to find baby Jesus. We owe a big thank you to Bro. John Skaggs for reading some scriptures to the children and relating the story of Christ's birth, and the true meaning of Christmas, to the children.

We also had a gift-wrapping station where the children wrapped new gifts they brought in brown paper and twine. These gifts were presented to a member of our Bishopric as a service project to needy families for Christmas.
The activity was a hit and I've heard several children tell me since then how much fun they had. We can't wait to do this again!
Primary Program
We had a fantastic Primary Sacrament Meeting Program yesterday and the children did wonderfully! They sang well, they read their parts and the entire program flowed well with no problems. What more could a Presidency ask for? We are so proud of the children and all the hard work they've been putting into it for the last few months paid off. And, like I said yesterday, I am truly honored to be able to work with these young, sweet spirits. Thank you to all the parents and care givers, as well, for all your efforts in helping make this a success.
Welcome to the LM2 Ward's Primary Blog!
Hello to All,
I'm excited to announce that I have created this blog for our Ward Primary as another connecting point for all of us. I plan to post our monthly newsletters here, some pictures from activities we'll be having and just occasional comments about things we're doing. If you check the side bar, you'll see I have links to great LDS websites that may be useful to you. I also have a link for the Articles of Faith (just click on the picture) and for the 2009 Primary music we'll begin to work on in a couple of months. I hope to add more links for useful resources in the near future so check back often for updates and announcements.
Sincerely,
Autumn
